Dr Vellayan shares the journey of your surgery with you. She is there from the beginning to the end, you are not doing this alone. She listens, nothing is too small or too large that she can’t handle. She carefully explains your options and it is so reassuring to know that Dr Vellayan will be doing the surgery, you know you are in the best possible hands. Her desire is to ensure the journey is safe, relaxing and as stress free as possible. Dr Vellayan genuinely cares about her patients, she is extremely kind and she sees you as a person, an individual and this is how she treats you. And apart from being the most patient friendly doctor I have ever met, incredibly talented, she is truly a delight to meet. I honestly do not think there is anything Dr Vellayan could improve on which would give even greater care. She is truly a blessing.

A lovely lady, who listened to all my symptoms. Dr Vellayan totally understood and gave me her professional opinion with a variety of options for the best way forward. Before and after surgery, Dr Vellayan put my mind at ease and was always available with any questions I had. I really do feel like a brand new lady! A huge thank you to Katy too

Dr Vellayan has treated both of my teenage daughters at different times, both of whom were apprehensive about seeing a gynaecologist. She put them both at ease; she listened to what they had to say; she was very good at explaining her diagnosis and why she was suggesting her proposed course of action. She was also very good at explaining possible side-effects, etc. Moreover, she has been very helpful since my daughters' appointments and has responded quickly to some questions and queries I've emailed to her. Her secretary is also helpful and quick to respond to enquiries. I'm grateful to have found a kind and empathetic gynaecologist for my daughters and I know they will have no hesitation in seeing Dr Vellayan again in the future should they need to.

Dr Vellayan was professional but kind in her dealings with me. She communicated using diagrams as well as words, which I found really helpful. When undergoing the procedures she was considerate and never patronising. She responded quickly to email and phone calls and followed up results promptly. I was very impressed with her secretariats arrangements too... Katy was excellent in all her dealings with me.

It is a pleasure to write about Dr Vellayan. She is one of the kindest, caring and most empathetic medical doctors I have ever met. She went well beyond her remit to ensure that the next stage of my treatment went ahead, and took a load of worry from my shoulders. I really cannot praise her too highly.
